Regardless of whether you are interested in the subject of medicinal marijuana or not, this term has certainly earned your ears. This is due to the fact that in recent years the production and sale of CBD-based supplements has been popularized in Poland. Did you know, however, that there are products on the market manufactured with the use of this agent, which are not only intended for consumption, but also for external use? In this article, we will show you some examples of both types of products and present their application.
CBD, i.e. cold-pressed hemp oil
First of all – chemistry lesson. If we want to start using something new in our therapy or care, it is worth getting acquainted with the chemical structure of a given substance and its properties. CBD in the scientific world is widely known as cannabidiol. It is found in cannabis and should not be confused with THC (tetrahydocannabinoil), which has psychoactive effects. Cold-pressed hemp oil has the highest concentration of CBD. The second part of the name comes from the method of extracting the substance. A popular method of extracting CBD is extraction using carbon dioxide. If, however, we want to obtain cold-pressed hemp oil for external use, it is worth reaching for special mechanical presses. In order to use this method properly, the seeds should be cleaned and then placed in a traditional or screw press, which will effectively separate the precious oil from the rest of the seed. Thanks to this method, we obtain pure oil, which is collected in a specially prepared tank, and at the same time we do not risk losing valuable ingredients, which is the case with hot pressing, i.e. above 25 degrees Celsius.
What are the properties of cold-pressed hemp oil? First of all, it is necessary to pay attention to its analgesic and antidepressant effects. CBD is very often recommended for cancer patients, especially in the progressive phase, when chemotherapy is fighting against malignant cells. Patients experience an increase in pain sensitivity, as well as frequent vomiting, which adversely affects the level of hydration and nutrition of the body, and absorbs the patient’s energy unnecessarily. In addition, cannabis is used in the fight against lack of appetite and insomnia. Oils have a calming and relaxing effect, thanks to which they also bring relief to people with spine defects or rheumatism.
Cold-pressed hemp oil is also perfect for cosmetic lines. Therefore, it can be successfully used externally. Many people use this liquid without additives, e.g. as a balancing serum or a balm substitute. Due to the fact that most of the ingredients of hemp oil are unsaturated fatty acids, it will work well in problems with atopic dermatitis, psoriasis and acne. The product will also be loved by all people who want to grow healthy, shiny hair.
Is cold-pressed hemp oil legal?
The answer is yes. Cold-pressed hemp oil is allowed in our country. You can have it both at home and on the street. In addition, we now receive it at points of sale not only with a prescription, but also completely normal, like other products for food, industrial or cosmetic use. However, it is worth being vigilant if we regularly use this cannabinoid and plan to travel abroad. In some states, the properties of CBD are still not considered legal. So let’s check the CBD status in the country of our destination before leaving to avoid unnecessary problems, e.g. during checks at airport gates.
How much does cold-pressed hemp oil cost?
